Day one: welcome here

I’m a writer and self-taught artist who, like many others, is struggling with real life, getting recognized, and deal with the artist’s doubts on my work. So I decided to start this blog to share my own experience, how I dealt with some of the problems even if it didn’t work or is still in train, because we don’t usually read about that. And of course, let you know about my work.

I love writing and found in comics the best way to express myself. But I’m also too shy to make acquaintance with other writers and artists, which made it very difficult to be published, and even if self-publishing is a tool I use often, there is still the doubt if my work is good, bad, or just need polish

Since I am analytical I also found essays as the best choice of creative work with a rational basis. Freedom has always been my favorite topic: of speech, believes, actions, will… For me, everything is related to that topic, one way or another. And while trying to catch it, came with Feminism: Am I less free for being a woman or have a different form of freedom? I even went to a PH.D. in Philosophy trying to answer this. And drop it since couldn’t have total freedom for my researches. Yes, I’m very critical about Feminism, and some don’t like it (and no: this was not the only reason I drop the PH.D. but plan to get it back in the future).

I hope the web will be a good place to start showing all my works: how I tackle research, the books I use, and how Instruggle trying to express my finds on a comic and also how I create my own silly stories of fantasy and heroes or more ambitious novels. I’m barely starting this journey but I wish it will help others to see how to craft their works, or what not to do.

So, take a tour to my Gallery, where you can find old and new traditional paintings, illustrations and doodles from my creative process, info about my comics, fanart of my favorite series and thinks I’m cooking, or learn more about how I come to ideas, prepare texts and researches or just tools I use when writing and drawing.

And if you enjoy it or wanna chat a bit, leave me a comment and share the links.
